Each year the Amherst County Militia collects donations to make Christmas wishes come true for local families in need.
Once the need has been determined, we accept donations for items specific to each family member's wish list as well as monetary donations. Monetary donations are spent on shopping for the remaining items that have not been donated along with food to provide an adequate holiday meal. Any remaining monetary balances are placed on a grocery gift card that is provide to the family along with all other contributions.
We take pride in the opportunity to help our fellow community members who may endure struggles from time to time and just need to know WE CARE!
